The Internet Society decided to establish a legal structure with the objective of achieving stable and sustainable funding for the IGF.
The constituent General Assembly of the Internet Governance Forum Support Association, was held on 1 September, 12:30-14:00 in Room 4.
The Main objective of the Association are to raise funds to contribute to the United Nations IGF Trust Fund and support related activities. The Association provides a complementary funding mechanism to the IGF Trust Fund and will also fund national and regional IGF initiatives and additional fellowships for participation in IGF-related meetings at national, regional and global levels.
