26th meeting of the Executive Committee

Draft Summary Record

 

  1. The Executive Committee held its 26th meeting in Geneva on 18 December 2017 in an informal setting in the margins of the IGF. The main purpose of the meeting was to prepare for the IGFSA General Assembly scheduled for the following day and to decide on a few related issues.

 

  1. The following members participated in the meeting: Avri Doria, Marilyn Cade, Tarek Kamel, Markus Kummer, Jimson Olufuye, Edmon Chung, Eduardo Santoyo; Jennifer Chung. A quorum was established for the meeting, with seven Executive Committee members participating.

 

  1. The Executive Committee approved in principle the financing of real time transcription of the IGFS General Assembly as well as a financial contribution to the printing of information material for the NRIs. It also discussed the need to develop a simplified procedure for allowing for expenses of not exceeding a certain threshold.

 

  1. The Executive Committee appointed Jennifer Chung Secretary of the Association. It thanked Mark Buell for serving as Co-Secretary for the past year.
